Clean Steam Matters

August 17th, 2026

August is National Water Quality Month, a time to appreciate how vital clean water is to our health and our environment.

Water quality is important to the professionals at Thermal Leverage, too. We manufacture clean steam generators that use an external source like a standard boiler to heat clean, demineralized water in a heat exchanger – rather than being conventionally fired by gas or oil, which would introduce contaminants. This process creates high-purity steam – free of impurities, corrosion-inhibiting additives, and microbes – for sterilization, sanitization, and cleaning in industries like pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and healthcare.

Thermal Leverage manufactures both steam-fired and hot water-fired clean steam generators. Each works a bit differently:

  • Steam-fired clean steam generators
These generators use high-pressure plant steam as the heat source in a heat exchanger to generate low-pressure “clean” steam from a separate supply of demineralized water. They are designed to avoid the chemicals found in standard steam water treatment and create steam for processes that require a higher degree of purity.

  • Hot water-fired clean steam generators
Similar to steam-fired units, these generators use high-temperature hot water as the energy source instead of steam. This is another method to transfer heat from an available plant thermal source to create clean steam for applications where only high-temperature hot water is available.

Thermal Leverage’s clean steam generators -- like all our products -- are highly regarded for their cutting-edge engineering, precise manufacturing, and strict adherence to quality control standards. At Thermal Leverage, clean water AND clean steam matter because lives depend on it.
